LOUISVILLE LIP SHUT_THE SAD REALITY

So,
I've watched numerous Muhammad Ali documentaries, interviews and even read articles that were written about the great from way back when I wasn't even a thought. Every documentary starts with the Sonny Liston fight. Parrying each blow attempt from Sonny, dancing around the ring and obviously chatting away like it's totally normal to chat to someone trying to beat you flat.
Watching all other fights that follow one can only watch in awe at how well he mastered the art of boxing. HIS lip psyched boxers out, never malicious
with his words but said enough to have them question
their ability to beat him.
Oh,
and his poems,
Float like a butterfly, 
sting like a bee.
The hands can't hit what the eyes can't see.
skrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, how do you beat that?
I've wrestled with alligators.
I've tussled with a whale.
I done handcuffed lightning.
And throw'd thunder in jail. 
whaaaaaatttttttt?????!!!!! How? like get out of here, if you dream you can beat that then you better wake up and apologize.
His personality would've still made him a great man if his boxing career failed.
The only thing that hit HIM and the world was reality. The reality of the dangers of the sport, the effects the sport has on ones body...

Overrated

It's overrated,

My tears,my pleads,my scars,my fears...it's all overrated.

I cry , eyelid torn by a fist way bigger than mine but I mean it's overrated. 

My ribs are kicked in, blood spewing from my lungs but I mean you can't see it so I'm just being dramatic by gasping for air and crying uncontrollably. I'm really overreacting because it's normal for a size 12 boot to be on my face, crushing my jaw... Talking about it to authorities is so overrated

Knuckle conversations

Growing up, with an abusive father and a loving mother. Quite a confusing mix for a five year old, I had a choice though. I had to decide if I'll use my knuckles to defuse conflict or walk away like mom tried to do for years.

A step into my teens and boy was it terrible. Reading saved me from breaking necks, daddy gene constantly popped up with every conflict.
Boxing gloves saved people's lives, with every argument I would walk away and punch mom's continental pillows. I got smacked for that but anyway, the ring is not what our generation is making it to be.
Boxing is a game, the aim is to shake hands after the game whatever the outcome.
